Proper acoustic composite panels can be very expensive. There can be a decent alternative. Fabric-wrapped glass-wool does reduce high-pitch, but it cannot diffuse sound. Wood naturally diffuses sound in the air. Hence, the reason for having wood panel on top of the fabric-wrapped glass-wool. This project did not allow acoustic damping treatment of: door, window, ceiling & floor. Although, I would have liked to go for a full noise insulation, I read somewhere that it's worth even if you are able to cut 50% of the low-frequencies (muffled reverb) by covering 50% of the surface. Although that is not very easy to control as the room reverb energy is the highest in this range.
