The best thing about the movie is that you get to see the hero being knocked off effortlessly by the enemy. Role reversal, and the humans has next to zero chance as they are paralyzed by their leaders and the fact that cowards and brave die the same death. Its a cool summer action film. However, the film has limited insight, detailing and "edge" but it still comes out swinging on the shoulders of the two charismatic actors as the protagonists of the film. Its high on drama and the main concept has another simple underlying layer, wrapped in a spectacular war film. But that's it, there isn't an experience that would make you watch it again. The fantastical idea of repeated deaths has some disturbing psychological possibilities for those willing to think about it. The film is an adapted from the Japanese manga, “All You Need Is Kill” by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. "Brilliantly edited to maximize both the humor and pathos inherent in its Groundhog Day-meets-Aliens-meets-Saving Private Ryan set-up..." - Tony Dayoub.
